“We need banking, but not banks.” (Bill Gates, 1994). He separated service from institution. It is claimed that due to the fast-changing environment there will only be ~200 German banks in 2030 left, from ~1500 today. With the rise of technological possibilities and single services provided by FinTechs, the whole ecosystem changed. Customers now have more choices. AI-enabled apps help to put the customer at the core. This talk will focus on some concrete applications in banking and in ING.
