Alwin Harkema

Alwin Harkema is the EMEA GPS Business Development Executive for Global Payments Solutions (GPS) at Bank of America. In this role, Alwin leads the EMEA sales and account management teams in executing business strategies for a select group of corporate clients across the region. He also advises senior leaders across organizations—including CFOs, treasurers, and cash management executives—on treasury management.

Alwin has over 25 years of experience in transaction banking, most recently serving as Head of Corporate Sales for Northern Europe at GPS, where he led the team focused on delivering cash, trade, liquidity, card, and transactional FX solutions to a portfolio of large corporations.

He joined Bank of America in April 2013 as a Senior Treasury Sales Officer for GPS, and prior to joining the bank, he led the transaction banking business for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland at BBVA in Frankfurt. Alwin has also held senior roles in the transaction banking and client coverage teams at ABN AMRO Bank/RBS and Rabobank International.
