Christian Schmahl

Christian Schmahl began his career in treasury at Groupon in 2010 as a treasury analyst, where he worked with management to build a treasury function from the ground up in Berlin and Switzerland, advancing his career over the course of seven years to become a treasury manager.

Since 2017, Christian Schmahl has led the Group Treasury at Delivery Hero’s headquarters in Berlin as Treasury Director, developing the Treasury department together with his team on a group-wide, global scale with the goal of creating a state-of-the-art Treasury focused on digitalization, (real-time) automation, and highly scalable Treasury solutions.
Christian Schmahl began his academic education at the Berlin School of Economics and Law in 2005, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2009.
In 2007, he studied abroad at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland, majoring in Finance and Accounting, and in 2015, he studied at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland, where he graduated with a CAS Swiss Certified Treasurer (SCT) in 2016
