Gerd Berghold

Dr. Gerd Berghold is Head of Treasury Operations and Digital Treasury at Deutsche Bahn AG, where he has been responsible for middle and back office, risk controlling, derivatives valuation, reporting, and digitization initiatives in treasury since 2008. He drives innovation in the areas of RPA, predictive analytics, text mining, web crawler technologies, and treasury IT infrastructure.

Prior to joining Deutsche Bahn, he held senior positions in risk management and Basel II implementation at Sparkassen Rating und Risikosystem GmbH, d-fine, and Ernst & Young. Dr. Berghold received his doctorate from the Max Planck Institute, holds an MSc in Mathematical Finance from the University of Oxford, and has been awarded innovation prizes from EACT and GACT.
