Johannes is a co-founder, partner, and in-house counsel at Procura Inventory Management (UK) Limited. He is licensed to practice law in Germany and has fifteen years of professional experience in corporate law, structured finance, financial services, and asset management.

Johannes began his professional career in 2008 in the Global Markets division of Deutsche Bank. In 2013, he joined Simmons & Simmons LLP. There, in the Financial Markets Department, he advised globally active investment funds and asset managers on all legal, tax, and regulatory matters related to the implementation of their trading strategies, particularly in the areas of debt and credit strategies, absolute and total return strategies, and event-driven strategies.

Following a secondment to BlackRock Investment Management (UK) Limited in late 2017, Johannes joined Prime Capital AG, a German asset management firm specializing in alternative investments for institutional investors. There, he was responsible for the corporate, tax, and regulatory structuring of the firm’s alternative investment strategies. During this time, Johannes worked with other colleagues from Procura to develop and implement the company’s first large-scale inventory management transactions. In 2018, he founded the Procura Group together with his colleagues.

Johannes has spent a total of more than twenty years in Colombia, Mexico, and Canada. He now lives in Germany and is fluent in German, English, and Spanish. In addition to being admitted to the German bar, Johannes holds an Honors Bachelor of Arts (Hons. B.A.) from the University of Toronto.
